Paolo Marchini began to study violin at the age of 7.

At the age of 11 he began attending the conservatory of his hometown Genova called "N.Paganini"; in subsequent years he played regularly with the conservatory's orchestra and other ensembles of the city exploring many different genres and musical languages.

After finishing high school, while he was graduating in violin, he began attending the singing class of the conservatory; in these years he made his debut as a singer with "Bastien und Bastienne" by Mozart and "Der Schulemeister" by Telemann;.

After graduating in 2011 he moved to Bologna to study with the mezzo-soprano Monica Bacelli at the conservatory "G.B.Martini" where he gained his master degree in singing during 2015.

In the last years he began to collaborate with Teatro Comunale in Bologna as a member of the choir and took the role of Uberto in Pergolesi's "Serva padrona" in Museo della Musica and Teatro villa Mazzacorati in Bologna; during 2014 he was awarded with the "Fondazione Zucchelli" scholarship.

In 2015 he was chosen by Jose Van Dam to be part of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Bruxelles for the A.A. 2015/2016.
